WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2024 Results

WWE NXT held their first premium live event of 2024 as WWE's third brand presented Vengeance Day from F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee on Sunday, February 4.

Just like the inaugural Vengeance Day, the 2024 edition of the show ended in a betrayal as after months of teases, Carmelo Hayes finally turned on Trick Williams. 

Trick challenged Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship in the main event of Vengeance Day and both men were busted open in the opening minutes of the match. Williams looked to have the match won at one point after connecting with his Trick Knee but he accidentally took out the referee moments earlier leaving no one to count the pinfall. A second official ran to the ring but by the time they arrived, Dragunov was able to recover and kick out at two. Both talents then went for broke in the closing moments and as they ran at each other, Dragunov managed to connect with Torpedo Moscow to score the 1-2-3. 

Carmelo Hayes was at ringside for the main event and he looked to console Williams following the match, only to suddenly stand behind Willaims and take him out with a chop block to the back of the knee. Hayes then grabbed a chair and proceeded to beat down his former friend and tag team partner, ending the show standing tall as he was showered with boos from the fans in attendance. 

Hayes and Williams had teamed together in the opening contest of NXT Vengeance Day, facing the Wolf Dogs of Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin in the final of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. It was ultimately the Wolf Dogs who came out on top, winning the match following a Bron Breakker spear to Carmelo Hayes. 

There was also a cash-in at Vengence Day as Lola Vice used her NXT Breakout Tournament winner contract to change the NXT Women's Title match between Lyra Valkyria and Roxanne Perez into a Triple Threat. Vice failed to win the title, though, and it was Roxanne Perez who came closest following a second Pop Rox to Valkyria, only for Tatum Paxley to run interference. Vice then tried to take advantage but Valkyria connected with the Night Wish to score the successful title defence.  

In the semi-main event, Oba Femi continued to look impressive as he defeated Dragon Lee in a widely praised match to retain the NXT North American Championship. Elsewhere, Dijak defeated Joe Gacy in a No DQ Match and The Family picked up a win over OTM.
