WWE Still Working On Possible John Cena Appearance At WrestleMania 40

Could John Cena appear at WWE WrestleMania 40?

WWE are in the midst of WrestleMania season, with WrestleMania XL just mere weeks away.

Whilst the card for both nights of the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ is rapidly coming together, there is a big question mark over the status of multi-time world champion John Cena, with the ‘leader of the Cenation’ always a welcome sight for fans at Mania.

Per a report from SE Scoops' Aaron Varble, WWE ‘are still working on’ something for Cena at Mania, although Varble stressed it was ‘nothing concrete’ at this point.

Cena recently teased an appearance at Mania 40, and made headlines for appearing naked at the 96th Academy Awards on March 10.

The future WWE Hall of Famer competed at WrestleMania 39 in a losing effort to US Champion Austin Theory, the match marking Cena’s first at Mania since the bizarre Firefly Funhouse Match against The Fiend at WrestleMania 36 in 2020. Cena previously wrestled at WrestleMania 34 in a squash loss against The Undertaker, and teamed with Nikki Bella to defeat The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33.

WrestleMania XL will mark 20 years since Cena made his WrestleMania debut, with Cena defeating Big Show for the US Championship at WrestleMania XX.
