WWE To Present More Of A Sports-Based Product

WWE TV will be undergoing changes in the coming weeks and months.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, there was talk at Raw and at WWE HQ this week that WWE will be adding sports-centric elements to their programming. This will see interview segments become more sports-like, with one example being Cody Rhodes' interview from "earlier today" on Raw that featured the clock displaying the time.

The changes are an attempt by WWE to "root the product in stronger realism."

One major change to WWE TV that has already been made in 2024 saw Kevin Dunn retire from WWE. Dunn had been in charge of WWE TV production for decades. He was replaced by Lee Fitting, who was appointed WWE Head of Media & Production.

WWE TV will also head to Netflix from 2025 in much of the world, including in the United Kingdom, while WWE Raw will air on Netflix in the United States.

Sports-based pro wrestling has been all the rage since the start of 2024, with Tony Khan presenting more of a sports-based product on AEW programming. This includes the upcoming re-introduction of the AEW rankings
