Many were readying up to see the ongoings for the trial of WWE’s shareholders lawsuit, with things originally scheduled to begin on Monday. However, everything seems to have either been put on hold or taken off the table, as the trial is no longer set to start.
Per Bloomberg, the attorney who represents the shareholders, Greg Varello, has stated that the four-day trial is no longer on the Delaware Chancery Court calendar, with no insight into how or why it has been removed from the court’s scheduling. The upcoming trial was set to feature testimony from multiple names across WWE and TKO such as Vince McMahon, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, Nick Khan, Ari Emanuel, and Mark Shapiro.
The lawsuit alleges that Vince McMahon’s sale of WWE to Endeavor was done in order for McMahon to retain status and power in WWE, rather than attempting to reach the best deal possible for WWE and its shareholders. Both McMahon and Khan were sanctioned by the judge recently due to destroying evidence related to the trial, plus text messages were unveiled revealing correspondence between Triple H and Khan which displayed some frustration with McMahon.
