YUKE's 'Working Tirelessly' To Improve AEW: Fight Forever Following Rough Launch

YUKE’s working to improve AEW: Fight Forever

AEW: Fight Forever built up a groundswell of fan excitement and fervour ahead of its release in June 2023, with many hoping the game would live up to its promise of being a spiritual successor to the vaunted WCW and WWE games of the Nintendo 64.

Whilst some praise was aimed at Fight Forever’s in-ring gameplay, the title as the whole was coldly received, with a lack of end-game content and a lacklustre creation suite chief amongst the complaints. You can read our thoughts on it here.

The official AEW Games Twitter account has given an update as to the state of Fight Forever, stating that the dev team are working hard to improve the game after reports that fans were fearful of the future of the game:

“AEW: Fight Forever celebrated its one-month launch anniversary last Saturday! On behalf of the teams at @AEW and @THQNordic, we wanted to extend a THANK YOU FOR PLAYING to our passionate community. Your FUN is our TOP priority and we're listening to all of the feedback you've provided!

“The dev team at YUKE's Co. Ltd. is working tirelessly to continuously improve the Fight Forever experience with future updates and new content releases. Stay tuned to @AEWGames for all OFFICIAL announcements regarding updates and content in the coming weeks! Stay tuned!”

It was previously announced that a Stadium Stampede mode would be added to the game at a later date.
