David Crockett Not Concerned About Ric Flair Wrestling Again

Ric Flair is set to wrestle one last match at the end of July

Wrestling fans the world over raised their eyebrows when Ric Flair announced he was stepping into the ring for one last-time at the age of 73.

It’s not just wrestling fans who were concerned at the prospect of ‘The Nature Boy’ wrestling again, as former NWA colour-commentator David Crockett also had this doubts, saying the following on the Under the Ring podcast:

“At first, I was extremely concerned,” with Crockett continuing “He’s gonna do it. Now, he’s not gonna be like the Ric Flair that I knew at first… but he’s gonna be great.”

‘Naitch’ last wrestled in September 2011, losing to long-time rival Sting on an episode of TNA IMPACT.

As for the nature of Flair’s actual last match, we are still waiting on confirmation, with several potential match-ups rumoured, quashed, and hinted at.

Ric Flair’s Last Match is set for July 31 as part of Starrcast V, and will feature wrestlers from AAA, NJPW, and IMPACT Wrestling amongst others.
