Early Estimate For AEW Worlds End PPV Buys
AEW Worlds End 2023 considered a "huge success" on PPV
All Elite Wrestling held their final pay-per-view of 2023 on December 30 as Worlds End emanated from the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York. The show saw a new AEW World Champion crowned as Samoa Joe defeated MJF and Adam Cole was revealed to be The Devil following the main event with Roderick Strong, Wardlow, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett as his minions.
Tony Khan noted in the post-AEW Worlds End media scrum that streaming pay-per-view buys for the event looked to be similar to Full Gear 2023, which would give the show an estimated total number of buys of 135,000. Dave Meltzer noted this could be considered a "huge success" for All Elite Wrestling due to the sports competition faced by Worlds End and the show coming only six weeks after Full Gear.
AEW increased their pay-per-view output in 2023, holding on average one pay-per-view a month for the second half of the year. The promotion looks set to take a break from pay-per-view to start 2024 and reports have claimed the plan is for AEW's next major event to be Revolution on March 3. That show will be headlined by Sting's retirement match.
