Eddie Kingston Reacts To Plastic Bag Spot At AEW All Out
Eddie Kingston responds to Jon Moxley's plastic bag angle
Eddie Kingston has reacted to the suffocation angle from AEW All Out.
All Elite Wrestling's All Out pay-per-view was an especially violent show and a major angle at the event saw Blackpool Combat Club turn on Bryan Danielson. To permanently put an end to their affiliation, Jon Moxley attempted to murder Bryan Danielson by putting a plastic bag over the AEW World Champion's head. Danielson survived the attack but did receive oxygen as part of the angle.
Eddie Kingston revealed earlier this year that he had long pitched the suffocation angle in AEW but the idea had always been rejected by AEW CEO Tony Khan. Kingston reacted to the angle finally happening on AEW programming in a very Eddie Kingston manner - posting a drawing of him looking disgruntled on his sofa along with another drawing of his pitch being rejected by Tony Khan. Both pieces of art were produced by Kaybebop_.
The suffocation angle was inspired by a 1989 spot at WCW Clash of the Champions VIII that saw Terry Funk tie a plastic bag around Ric Flair's head. Funk then repeatedly pummelled Flair for over a minute while 'The Nature Boy' suffocated.
Eddie Kingston will be out of action well into 2025 with a torn meniscus and ACL.
