Report: AEW Shockwave Rumoured To Be New One-Hour Show On FS1

Update on possible AEW plans for Shockwave

A major update on All Elite Wrestling's plans for Shockwave has emerged.

According to Ibou of WrestlePurists, word has circulated amongst talent in AEW that Shockwave will be a new one-hour show from the promotion which will air on FS1. The future of AEW Rampage is unclear but Dynamite and Collision will continue to air on Warner Bros. Discovery channels.

"What I've heard about the WBD TV deal is that it will continue to include Dynamite and Collision. It's unknown what will happen to Rampage but the rumours amongst the talent, again this is not a concrete report from me because I have not heard from WBD or AEW in an official capacity, but what talent have been discussing, what has gone around behind the scenes and circulated amongst circles within AEW is that AEW Shockwave will be a one-hour programme on FS1," Ibou said on the WrestlePurists Raw Review.

It was reported this week that All Elite Wrestling's new media rights deal with WBD may not be exclusive, with it emerging shortly after that Fox and AEW had been in contact and there were rumours about an AEW show moving to Fox. All Elite Wrestling also recently filed to trademark, 'AEW: Shockwave'.

The AEW-WBD TV deal is believed to be almost finalised and AEW CEO Tony Khan recently stated there was a 90 per cent chance it would be announced within the next month.

Fox was previously partnered with WWE, airing Friday Night SmackDown on Fox from October 2019 until September 6, 2024.
