Ricochet's First AEW Singles Match Revealed

First AEW singles match for Ricochet announced

Ricochet is officially All Elite, with the former PWG World Champion making his AEW debut at All In on August 25.

The celebrated high flyer will surely have his share of suitors vying to take him on in an All Elite Wrestling ring, but it seems as though Kyle Fletcher will be Ricochet’s first singles opponent in the company, with the former ROH World Television Champion and manager Don Callis laying out a challenge in an online exclusive.

Callis said he wants to see Ricochet crushed under his boot, before Fletcher vowed to drop him on his head. The match was later sanctioned, and will take place on the upcoming AEW Dynamite from Champaign, Illinois on August 28. It remains to be seen if Ricochet’s long-time rival - and Kyle Fletcher’s best friend - Will Ospreay will be in the building watching on.

Also announced for Dynamite, new AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson will be in the building and will give an update on his future plans, after the ‘American Dragon’ fought off a potential retirement to defeat Swerve Strickland for the title in Wembley Stadium.

Announced card; AEW Dynamite, August 28 2024:

  • Ricochet vs. Kyle Fletcher
  • Bryan Danielson will appear
