Swerve Strickland Signs New Deal With AEW

Swerve Strickland set to stay with AEW after signing a new contract

Prior to All In on August 2025, it was revealed by All Elite Wrestling that Swerve Strickland had signed a new contract with the promotion, with the announcement made during the Zero Hour pre-show.

Strickland had spoken openly about renegotiating his deal prior to All In, having originally signed with the promotion at Revolution in March 2022 before rocketing up the card and becoming AEW World Champion in early 2024.

A former AEW World Tag Team Champion with Keith Lee, Swerve and manager Prince Nana were filmed meeting with AEW President Tony Khan ahead of All In, with Strickland putting pen-to-paper on a new deal, before Khan co-signed it and hugged Strickland.

As of writing no details have been revealed as to Swerve’s new deal, with it currently unknown if Swerve re-upped for more money and more years, or if he just signed on a pay increase during a mid-point in his previous deal.

Strickland has garnered praise over the past year both for his performances in ring, and also for how he carried himself and represented the brand outside the ring as world champion.
