Talents Banged Up Following WWE NXT Battleground Ladder Match

WWE's NXT Battleground event saw several wrestlers "banged up" following the opening match.

Following last weekend's WWE NXT Battleground event, it was reported by Fightful Select that the participants in the six-woman Ladder Match were "banged up" as a result of the bout. Thankfully, there appeared to be no serious injuries. The report states:

"We are told all six women came out of the women’s North American Title ladder match banged up but with no notable injuries. Kelani Jordan received an ovation backstage following her title win."

As well as winner and inaugural NXT Women's North American Champion Kelani Jordan, the other competitors in the match were Michin, Fallon Henley, Lash Legend, Jaida Parker and Sol Ruca.

The ladder match opened the show, which saw five other bouts take place. Full results can be found here.

Another injury concern occurred during Roxanne Perez's NXT Women's Championship defence against TNA star Jordynne Grace, when the challenger's earring was ripped out mid-match. Fightful's report explains:

"Jordynne Grace’s earring being ripped out led to a brief consideration backstage to have a doctor check Grace over, but was left alone when it became clear Jordynne was unfazed by it. Jordynne revealed on social media on Monday morning that she would be retiring wearing earrings during matches due to the mishap."
