Update On WWE's Plans For Robert Stone Following Von Wagner's Release

Latest on WWE plans for Robert Stone

Following Von Wagner's release, Robert Stone was nowhere to be seen on the Spring Breakin' episode of WWE NXT on Tuesday, April 23. According to Fightful Select's Corey Brennan, there are currently no creative plans for Stone to be paired with another talent in NXT either.

While he may not be on TV for the foreseeable future, Stone will instead be busy behind the scenes in NXT. Fightful noted that Robert Stone was listed as a producer for NXT and he co-produced Fallon Henley vs. Jaida Parker with Matt Bloom. This was the first time Stone had produced a match for WWE TV, joining the likes of Shawn Spears and Pete Dunne who have produced matches on NXT and WWE Speed respectively in recent months.

Robert Stone has been a part of WWE since 2019 and he has been utilised as a manager on NXT throughout his run with the company. After initially managing the tag team of Riddick Moss & Dan Matha on house shows, Stone appeared on WWE NXT in January 2020 as the manager of Chelsea Green. Stone then went on to form the Robert Stone Brand with Aliyah and Mercedes Martinez briefly as clients.

By 2022, Stone was the manager of Von Wagner and they remained together until Von Wagner's release on Friday, April 19. Wagner was reportedly let go as the company considered him a main roster talent and he hadn't been used on either Raw or SmackDown. His career trajectory compared to his level of experience in WWE was also reportedly a contributing factor behind his firing.
