Latest On Mercedes Moné's Return From Injury

Mercedes Moné’s in-ring return is eagerly anticipated

Despite not having any bookings lined up with New Japan Pro-Wrestling or World Wonder Ring STARDOM, interest continues to build around Mercedes Moné’s long-awaited return from injury.

Moné took to Cameo to give fans an update on her condition, with the former IWGP Women’s Champion eager to return to active competition:

"I cannot wait to be back in the ring. Expect me to return with some wrestling company in 2024. For sure, I cannot wait to be back in the squared circle. It's where I feel the most home. It's where I feel alive. I just can't wait to be back. I've been healing everything: mentally, physically, spiritually, physically, everything. I'm really excited to get back to where I live and what I do best," Moné said.

Moné has been out of action since May 2023, suffering an ankle injury during a match with Willow Nightingale in NJPW. Moné was in the crowd at AEW All In in August, and was shown on camera during the broadcast.

When Moné does make her in-ring return, then hopefully it will be against Giulia, with a match between the two long desired by fans. Giulia is contracted with STARDOM until March 2024, but WWE scouts have reportedly been watching her closely. The expectation is also that Moné will at least make appearances for AEW when she is cleared
