Report: AEW Working On Creative Plans For Motor City Machine Guns

Creative plans for Motor City Machine Guns reportedly being worked on by AEW

It seems that the Motor City Machine Guns could soon become ‘All Elite’ with it believed that the team of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley are set to sign with AEW following their exit from TNA Wrestling.

Recent reports suggested that The Guns have decided to join AEW, although no deal will be finalised for a little while. Despite this, a further report from WrestlePurists suggests that Shelley and Sabin are in ‘late stage negotiations’ with AEW, to the point that creative plans are allegedly being written up for the legendary team.

Long-regarded as two of the pillars of TNA through the IMPACT years and beyond, the Guns leave the organisation having won everything between them, with Shelley recently finishing up his first reign as TNA World Champion, whilst Sabin’s record-setting tenth reign as X-Division Champion was recently ended by Mustafa Ali at TNA No Surrender 2024.

Shelley and Sabin have previously wrestled one match in an AEW ring, teaming with Jay Lethal against FTR and Wardlow at All Out 2022. Should The MCMG indeed become ‘All Elite’ then it’s expected they’ll become a major force in the tag team division.
