BREAKING: 'IMPACT Vs. The UK' Show Set For September
IMPACT issue open challenge to any UK promotion.
IMPACT Wrestling have informed us that they will be running a 'IMPACT vs. The UK' show in Manchester on September 9.
The show - IMPACT's first UK event in almost three years - will be held at Wrestling MediaCon 2018, an event featuring many personalities from the world of professional wrestling (including, incidentally, personalities from this very website).
IMPACT's President, Ed Nordholm, has laid down the challenge to any UK promotion, stating:
'Since we last came to the UK almost three years ago, we have seen how much the UK wrestling scene has evolved. We are excited to return to the UK to demonstrate that IMPACT Wrestling has the best talent anywhere in the world, so we’re issuing an open challenge to any UK promotion to bring their best wrestlers to face the very best from IMPACT Wrestling on September 9 in Manchester.'
Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow at 10AM from Ringside World, at www.ringsideworld.co.uk
This is reportedly the first time IMPACT (or indeed WWE) have ran a show of this kind. Every match will feature a member of the IMPACT roster against a top British/European talent, and given the current boom of the UK independent scene, the timing could hardly be better.
IMPACT have also provided contact details for any UK promotions wishing to get involved, stating:
'Any UK promotions interested in accepting IMPACT Wrestling’s challenge are invited to contact Wrestling MediaCon at info@wrestlingmediacon.com.'
It remains to be seen who will be on the card, but it should feature some very unique match-ups indeed.
