Cody Rhodes Thinks AEW Revolution Could Become The Promotion's WWE WrestleMania

The Showcase Of The Immortals 2.0...

AEW Revolution is just one day away as the young promotion's fourth pay-per-view will be broadcast live from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes is set to headline the pay-per-view as he faces off against his former protege MJF.

Ahead of the pay-per-view, Cody had an interview with Newsweek in which he said he thinks Revolution could become AEW's version of WrestleMania. He explained that he believes the promotion's other shows are also excellent, but his gut feeling is that the staging and theme of Revolution will mean it stands above the rest.

"A lot of people ask us, 'What's your WrestleMania? What's your big event?' We've never designated one event as the big event out of our four pay-per-views," Rhodes said. "But just kind of going with what my gut is feeling and seeing the marketing element, the thematic element, the staging element, I think Revolution may end up being the big one."

He later added: "If I'm wrong, that means one of the others is the big one, so it's OK. But I have just such a good feeling about February 29th."
