Report: Former WWE Raw Women's Champion Returning Soon

She's not like most girls...

Nia Jax has not been on WWE TV since WrestleMania 35, when she was involved in the Fatal 4-Way for the Women's Tag Team Championships. At The Showcase Of The Immortals, Jax teamed with Tamina against The Ilconics, The Boss "N" Hug Connection and Beth Phoenix & Natalya.

Soon after the match, Jax announced she would be undergoing knee surgery to repair both of her anterior cruciate ligaments. She tweeted: "Some of you may or may not know, but I will be out of action for a little while. Unfortunately, I have been pushing through some pain over the last year due to injuries in my knees and I will be undergoing surgery to repair both of my ACLs. I'm grateful to everyone who has supported me!"

The former Raw Women's champion was expected to return in early 2020. Now, Dave Meltzer is reporting in Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jax is set to make her return in the new year as she is currently training within the squared circle.

For the avoidance of doubt, Meltzer penned: "(Nia) Jax is back in the ring training for a return."
