Report: Identity Of Potential Manager For WWE SmackDown's King Corbin Revealed

On last week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, King Corbin and Roman Reigns brawled at ringside. After Reigns mounted a comeback against Corbin, his momentum was halted when a mysterious figure under the ring grabbed his foot. This allowed Corbin and Dolph Ziggler to handcuff Reigns to the ring post and pour dog food over him.
While we did not see the figure who grabbed Reigns, Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that it could be Drake Maverick. While Maverick and Corbin have not interacted previously on TV, WWE's plans are to make the former 24/7 champion The Lone Wolf's manager in the next few weeks. They will then be pushed as the top heel pairing on SmackDown.
For the avoidance of doubt, Meltzer wrote: "Reigns came back until he was tripped by somebody from under the ring (this could turn out to be Maverick since the plan was to make Maverick the manager of Corbin as the top heel pairing starting in a few weeks)."
