Report: Plans For Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair At WWE WrestleMania 36 Revealed

Will we see The Man Vs. The Queen again...

On Sunday, Charlotte Flair overcame 29 other Superstars and emerged victorious in the Women's Royal Rumble match, punching her ticket to a Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 36.

While the match itself has been praised, with our very own Tom Campbell giving it an A-, Flair's victory has somewhat underwhelmed many fans. The criticisms were two-fold as some fans believe Charlotte has been over-exposed in the Women's Championship picture, while others simply don't want to see Becky Lynch vs. Flair again, having seen it so many times in the last couple of years.

Some fans will seemingly be pleased, however, as Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Online that WWE is currently planning to have The Man defend the Raw Women's Championship against Shayna Baszler at The Showcase Of the Immortals. The former NXT Champion was previously scheduled to win the Royal Rumble match but the victor was switched to Flair on January 14.

This would seemingly leave Flair free to reignite her rivalry with SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley at WrestleMania, but Meltzer explained this was not currently WWE's plan. Meaning Charlotte's final opponent at the company's biggest show of the year is somewhat up in the air at the moment.

For the avoidance of doubt, Meltzer wrote: "Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler is on the books for WrestleMania but Charlotte Flair vs. Bayley is not happening at the present time."
