Report: Retired WWE Superstar Kurt Angle's Brother Pleads Guilty To Being Involved In Dark Web Steroid Operation

Will be sentenced in April...

Back in September, Kurt Angle's older brother, Eric Angle was indicted by a Grand Jury for being involved in an operation which manufactured and sold steroids on the dark web. He was charged along with Ronald Roginsky and John Ambrose.

On Monday, Angle and his two partners pleaded guilty to being involved in the operation. Angle and Ambrose pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy charges while Roginsky admitted to drug and money laundering conspiracy charges. Their trial was scheduled to begin next week but the trio came to a plea agreement with the government.

The operation involved importing chemicals from China using 10 different United States Postal Service boxes and a UPS store. The chemicals would then be manufactured into steroids and sold on the dark web. The trio also admitted to selling the steroids on online bodybuilding forums and in person. In total, they sold at least 60,000 units of steroids and Angle himself admitted he purchased 721 grams of liquid steroids for redistribution.

The trio will be sentenced in April. They made a significant amount of money from the operation as Roginsky, who was the head of the scheme, agreed last year to forfeit three cars, Bitcoin, and $213,000.

Angle appeared in WWE on a few occasions, as he was a developmental talent between 2000 and 2003. He helped Kurt retain his WWE Championship against The Undertaker at Survivor Series 2000 as he switched places with the champion towards the end of the match. Eric was also involved in Kurt's rivalry with Brock Lesnar in the build-up to WrestleMania XIX.
