Velveteen Dream 'Not Cleared' To Compete

WWE offered an injury update on several NXT Stars

WWE NXT Now, the YouTube show now hosted by new signing Matt Camp, gave an injury update on several NXT Superstars after Wednesday night's episode.

It's unclear quite how much the segment reports upon legitimate injuries, as it appears to be straying towards the kayfabe side of things - at least for now.

Kona Reeves suffered a strike to the cheek that required five stitches to close. Camp speculates that there could be orbital damage, and until further evaluation he has not been cleared to compete.

Artuto Ruas, who faced Pete Dunne on the USA premiere, is awaiting the results of an X-ray on his fingers and isn't cleared to compete until the WWE gets them.

Most notably Velveteen Dream won't be cleared to compete until further evaluation. The Dream was, according to Camp, seen "walking gingerly backstage" and is suffering lumbar pain.

Whilst WWE Now has been a part of the company's Youtube channel for a long time, the 'Injury Report' is a new idea. It was seemingly mocked by WWE Road Agent Brian James (aka Road Dogg), who commented: "What does 'Cleared' mean? Of all charges, legally, medically?"
