WWE Announce Two More Matches For NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II

On last night's episode of NXT UK...

NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II will take place on January 12th at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, England. On last night's episode of NXT UK, authority figures Johnny Saint and Sid Scala announced two more matches for the show.

After a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an injury, Eddie Dennis made his return to NXT UK on November 28th. Since then, he has set his sights firmly on Trent Seven. Before Seven's match against Michael May on the December 12th edition of NXT UK, Dennis attacked May and offered him up to The Artful Dodger. On the December 19th episode, Seven demanded answers, only to be sucker-punched by the PROGRESS Unified World champion.

This was the final straw for Saint and Scala who announced Dennis would go one on one with Seven at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II.

Jordan Devlin and Tyler Bate have also been involved in their own feud in recent weeks. The former OTT World champion tried to cost The Big Strong Boi his match against Noam Dar, but Bate was able to overcome the distraction and emerged victorious. After the match, Devlin teased attacking Bate but the first-ever United Kingdom champion was ready for him causing the Irishman to retreat backstage.

NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint also announced both Superstars would face off on January 12th.

The card for NXT UK TakeOver Blackpool II is as follows:

  • WALTER (c) vs. Joe Coffey - United Kingdom Championship

  • Kay Lee Ray (c) vs. Toni Storm vs. Piper Nevin - Triple Threat match for the NXT UK Women's Championship

  • Gallus (c) vs. Imperium vs. The Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster - Fatal 4-Way Ladder match for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships

  • Tyler Bate vs. Jordan Devlin

  • Trent Seven vs. Eddie Dennis
