AEW Dynamite Wins Head To Head With WWE NXT For Fourth Straight Week, Both Shows Drop Against World Series, NBA Coverage

AEW falls below one million average...

Neither show is doing the numbers they did in their inaugural weeks, but nonetheless, AEW Dynamite still scored a sizable win over WWE's NXT on Wednesday night.

Per Showbuzz Daily, Dynamite on TNT fell below one million viewers for the first time, with an average of 963,000 viewers for the night. That's about a five percent drop from last week's 1,014,000 average.

NXT, meanwhile, dropped to 698,000 viewers, down two percent from the 712,000 of a week ago.

Both shows faced heavy competition on Wednesday night, particularly in the form of Game 2 of the MLB World Series on FOX. That itself averaged 11,925,000 viewers for a game that was close until the Washington Nationals busted it open in the later innings.

On cable, AEW ranked fourth in the coveted 18-49 demographic (up from fifth a week ago) with a 0.45 demo rating. The only cable shows that beat it were two NBA games on ESPN (Boston Celtics at Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets at Portland Trailblazers), and an episode of American Horror Story on FX.

NXT ranked 21st in the 18-49 demographic with a 0.21 demo, up from 30th place last week.
