Backstage News & Reaction To Danhausen's ROH Return
How Danhausen's ROH return came together revealed
Dec 24, 2024
Although there had been issues between All Elite Wrestling/Ring of Honor and Danhausen, the wrestler's return at Final Battle was very straightforward.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on the Fightful Select Report that Danhausen's return came together after AEW phoned him the day before Final Battle about working the show.
"Yeah, they called him the day before the show and they told him to come do the show. He said, 'Okay it's my job so I'll come do the show.' That's pretty much it. He's been very transparent the whole time it's not him refusing to work or anything. It was a situation definitely where he told them he had some family stuff, wouldn't be able to work as many Saturdays. And then he started to work Saturday indy dates and AEW looked at it and said, 'Well, what the hell's going on here?' He would probably be the first to tell you, yeah, that probably could have been communicated better but he's also a guy that's like they can just tell me to come to work, it's my job. And they did that," Sean Ross Sapp stated.
It was further noted that a lot of people within AEW/ROH were happy to see Danhausen return at Final Battle and they were happy about the reaction he received from the crowd inside the Hammerstein Ballroom. Those people are hopeful it will lead to more bookings from AEW/ROH for Danhausen.
Danhausen's involvement at ROH Final Battle saw him interfere on the side of Atlantis Jr. during the luchador's match against Mansoor as the 'Very Nice, Very Evil' gentleman nailed Mason Madden at ringside in the nether regions. The interference allowed Atlantis Jr. to pick up the win.
