CJ Perry Initially Thought The CM Punk-Miro 'Fight' At AEW All In Was Real

The apparent joke confrontation between CM Punk and Miro at AEW All In certainly had CJ Perry convinced.

In an interview with Haus of Wrestling, AEW star CJ Perry has admitted that she initially thought the backstage confrontation between CM Punk and her husband Miro was real.

In the aftermath of the now-infamous exchange between Punk and Jungle Boy at AEW All In, Miro reportedly joked with Punk, the pair pretending to pick a fight with one another. However, news of this initially broke as a legitimate confrontation before the real story emerged. Perry explains that before the details were corrected, Miro pretended to her that the argument was a real one:

“I was like, ‘What are you doing? [...] Why are you doing that?’ And then also, there’s a part of me that knew I was debuting. I’m like, ‘Oh, God. Can we just lay low, please? And you’re gonna be picking at the show-runner? Are you insane?’ So, I was getting hot. And then, the next thing I hear is Miro was pissed that CM Punk went to the dirt sheets and said he was joking.

“And I’m like, ‘Were you joking?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah.’ I’m like, ‘Wait, what?’ So for, like, five hours or until that time, he was selling the whole story to me like it was real. Selling it to me like it was all real. And I’m like, ‘So, wait, you’re telling me it was a joke?’ He tells me the story of how CM Punk is like, ‘Do you have a problem with me?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah,’ and CM Punk goes, ‘You want to fight?’

“Miro goes, ‘Here, or in the ring?’ I’m like, ‘You’re telling me that was a joke?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah. [...] Oh, I forgot you take everything literal, CJ.’ So he finds it really funny that I believe everything.”
