CM Punk Vs. Seth Rollins To Possibly Be Delayed Until 2025

Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk potentially pushed back to 2025

The long-awaited feud between CM Punk and Seth Rollins took its next step at SummerSlam, with the two coming to blows after Rollins taunted Punk during Punk’s match with Drew McIntyre.

On-screen tensions between the two began at Survivor Series 2023, with Rollins held back by WWE officials as Punk made his return to the company, but a report from PWInsider suggests WWE could wait until 2025 before officially commencing with a programme between the two.

Rollins was written off of WWE TV post-SummerSlam after a vicious attack by Bronson Reed, with Rollins set to take a leave of absence from in-ring competition in order to heal up from ‘chronic’ injury issues

Whilst Punk and McIntyre look set to continue their heated feud through Bash in Berlin and potentially beyond, a WWE source told PWInsider that when it comes to Punk vs. Rollins it wouldn’t be a shock to see the story pushed until 2025, with the new regime in WWE ‘at a much better level now in terms of laying out long terms plans’.

Punk and Rollins have only ever had one singles match, with Punk besting Rollins on an episode of WWE Raw in December 2013.
