Cody Rhodes Reveals Dream WWE Opponent

A match between the two would certainly be a phenomenal one

Cody Rhodes has been back in WWE for a month now and has already crossed paths with Seth Rollins, The Miz, and Kevin Owens in singles action on television.

Since The American Nightmare's return, fans have been discussing potential 'dream matches' for him against the likes of Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and others. One name that continually comes up when it comes to prospective opponents is AJ Styles.

While naming some of his favourite things in a '30-second shot clock' game with Steve Austin (in a clip released to promote Cody's forthcoming appearance on the Broken Skull Sessions), Rhodes singled out The Phenomenal One as his dream WWE opponent.

The two have never wrestled each other in their illustrious careers.

Interestingly, the only time they could have interacted with each other was in the 2016 Royal Rumble match. That match marked AJ's WWE debut and came just a few months before Cody, then wrestling as Stardust, requested and received his release.

With Rhodes and Styles both being members of the Raw roster and Cody outwardly wanting the bout to happen, surely it's only a matter of time before WWE books it in some form or fashion.
