What a year it has been for everyone’s favourite pro-wrestling dentist (sorry, Isaac Yankem DDS).
Britt Baker has been one of the true homegrown success stories in AEW, long noted for her character work and promo ability but now, it seems, starting to find a real groove between the ropes as well.
She won the AEW Women’s Title at Double or Nothing, beating Hikaru Shida in a strong match, but her most impressive in-ring outing was the stunning Non-Sanctioned Lights Out bout she had with Thunder Rosa on the St. Patrick’s Day Slam episode of Dynamite.
Aside from those, she’s had good showings in defences against Kris Statlander, Tay Conti and Ruby Soho.
You would expect more good matches and feuds featuring Baker as we move into 2022. At the moment, it doesn’t look like she’s going to lose her title anytime soon (and nor should she).
