Darby Allin On AEW's Four Pillars: Us Four Are Very Very Hungry
Darby, MJF, Sammy Guevara, and Jungle Boy are expected to lead AEW in the future
Recently dubbed ‘The Four Pillars of AEW’, MJF, Darby Allin, Jungle Boy, and Sammy Guevara are being groomed to lead the company when the current guard steps down, and according to Darby Allin, the four of them are very hungry.
"It's nice that you get such young guys that are so determined to show the wrestling world what is up and give the platform at AEW, we can sink or swim on our own and these are the guys that have chosen to swim. There are a lot of people there that don't take the ball and run with it, so I think it shows every week that us four are very very hungry," said Allin during the AEW panel at New York Comic Con.
Much has been said about the future of AEW and the expectations placed upon the shoulders of ‘The Four Pillars’ to lead the company when needed.
The name ‘The Four Pillars’ itself refers to AJPW’s legendary Four Pillars of Heaven, where All Japan head Giant Baba built the promotion around Mitsuharu Misawa, Toshiakai Kawada, Akira Taue, and Kenta Kobashi in the 1990s.
