Jimmy Jacobs Parts Ways With AEW
Jimmy Jacobs has resigned from AEW's creative team
Oct 12, 2024
In June 2023, Jimmy Jacobs signed with AEW after parting ways with Impact Wrestling, joining the AEW creative team and beginning work as a producer. He would also make two in-ring cameos in Ring Of Honor during this spell, losing to both Shane Taylor and Satnam Singh. His time in AEW has now come to an end though per a new report.
Fightful Select have revealed that Jimmy Jacobs has officially left AEW, resigning from his posts on the creative team and as a producer. It is noted that Jacobs had been ‘burned out as of late’, leading to his resignation which came under amicable terms, with both sides leaving things on a positive note. It is stated that Jacobs has been heavily present at all of AEW’s shows, being present at the most shows out of anyone who works directly with Tony Khan ever since his arrival.
The report has also revealed the backstage reaction from AEW, which views this exit as an open door, with the company seeing this departure as a way of freshening up the writing team. Jacobs revealed last year that it was Bryan Danielson who helped him score a job role in AEW.
