Karrion Kross Reclaims NXT Title At TakeOver: Stand And Deliver

Regaining the belt he never lost

The man who never lost the NXT championship has gotten his hands back on the belt.

Karrion Kross defeated Finn Balor to reclaim the NXT championship on TakeOver: Stand and Deliver's second night, following a 17 minute match.

Kross managed to kick out of the Coup de Grace, locking in a rear naked choke. Balor escaped, and locked Kross in a grounded abdominal stretch. Kross eventually got free, and hit Balor with a Doomsday Saito suplex. He followed up with two running forearm smashes to defeat the champ.

Kross originally won the championship on August 22 at TakeOver XXX, defeating Keith Lee. However, Kross sustained a separated shoulder during the match, and was forced to vacate the title just days later.

Balor won the vacant belt on September 8, defeating Adam Cole, Tommaso Ciampa, and Johnny Gargano in a four-way Iron Man match, as part of NXT Super Tuesday II.

Balor's 212 day reign as NXT champion is the sixth longest in the title's history.

Kross joins Balor, Samoa Joe, and Shinsuke Nakamura as the fourth person to win the NXT championship more than once.
