Kurt Angle Reveals Unhappiness With TNA Main Event Mafia Storyline
Angle thinks there was more mileage in the MEM

Kurt Angle had a great time in TNA - and actually believes his run there doesn't get enough accolades - but it was not without its disappointments.
One such disappointment was the way in which the Main Event Mafia storyline turned out. Angle was the leader of the group, which counted former world champions Scott Steiner, Booker T, Kevin Nash and Sting as its other original members.
Though the stable were a force initially and seemed to have a lot of potential as far as storyline possibilities, they disbanded after less than a year together.
During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Angle noted that he didn't get what he expected out of the Main Event Mafia, saying:
"I wasn't happy with the way it played out. I think we could have had a much longer reign, and it's unfortunate because any faction I've ever been with never lasted long. Team Angle didn't last long, that only lasted about eight months. The Main Event Mafia might have lasted a little under a year, and I think having all those legends together was really special, and I thought it was a super honour to make me the godfather, the leader of it".
Angle headed a new iteration of the Main Event Mafia, which featured Sting, Samoa Joe, Magnus and Rampage Jackson, in 2013, but that only lasted a few months.
