Matt Cardona To Face Bully Ray At December Indy Show

The two have been trading shots online of late

After weeks of trading shots back and forth online, Matt Cardona and Bully Ray are set to do battle in December.

The two are booked against each other for Battleground Championship Wrestling's 'A Tribute to The Extreme Show', which will take place on December 17.

Appropriately enough, the show will emanate from Philadelphia's 2300 arena, which was known as the ECW Arena. Additionally, current WWE producer D-Von Dudley will be in the corner of his former tag partner.

The match has come about after Bully Ray claimed that Cardona wouldn't last 'a day' in the original ECW, which folded in 2001. Cardona responded that Bully Ray wouldn't last 'a day' in any promotion in 2022.

Cardona, as Zack Ryder, wrestled for WWE's rebooted version of ECW in the late 2000's.

Cardona responded to the match being made by tweeting: 'IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!!!', while referring to himself as the 'Deathmatch King'.

Matt Cardona and Bully Ray have met on two occasions in the past, both times in tag matches when the Dudleys returned to WWE for their second run.
