MVP Planning To Continue Wrestling

Amidst talk of his WWE contract expiring, MVP isn't ready to hang up his boots yet.

MVP plans to carry on with his wrestling career amidst reports that his time in WWE could be over soon.

It was recently reported that MVP's contract is set to expire in mid-August, with no serious talks over a new deal having taken place. He has also been linked to AEW, potentially to reform the Hurt Business with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin in Tony Khan's promotion.

MVP himself took to Instagram yesterday to upload a photo of his wrestling boots, with the caption, "Dusted these off...". Another statement of intent could be found in the comments section, where in response to a user writing, "Well they don't look hung up to me," MVP replied, "Because they are NOT!!!"

Although used increasingly as a manager in his latest WWE run, MVP was able to prove that he can still go in the ring. However, his most recent match was two years ago at the time of writing, when he teamed with Omos to face the Street Profits on the July 18, 2022 episode of Raw. MVP underwent a stem cell treatment earlier this year.

MVP is a two-time WWE United States Champion, and a one-time WWE Tag Team Champion alongside Matt Hardy. He has managed the likes of Bobby Lashley and Omos.
