Nick Aldis Calls NWA 'The Most Toxic Brand In Wrestling’

Nick Aldis is set to depart NWA in January 2023

It’s been a noteworthy few weeks for the NWA, from the fallout of former champion Nick Aldis and owner Billy Corgan, to the crowning of the divisive Tyrus as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion at Hard Times 3.

Aldis is set to leave NWA in January 2023 when his contract expires, but has been suspended by NWA after clashing with management. Now on Instagram, Aldis has ripped into the company following Hard Times 3 sharing the following message with his subscribers:

“I hope now you see why it was important to me to let you know that I had given my notice to the NWA BEFORE this ppv. What was once a promising endeavour that I turned down bigger opportunities to take the lead on, has become the most toxic brand in pro wrestling. Thank you all for the support,” said Aldis.

The crowning of Tyrus as champion has not gone down well with some fans, due to Tyrus' perceived lack of name recognition, increasing age, and role as commentator on Fox News, as well as allegations of sexual misconduct.
