The National Wrestling Alliance have launched a new territory in Chicago, Illinois, with the new offshoot set to officially launch on March 8.

Eventbrite currently has an ‘NWA: Arrival’ event scheduled for March 8 in Highland Park, Illinois, with the listing stating that the event will be ‘a very special moment in history’  for the NWA ‘as we are excited to announce our new territory based out of the Chicago area’.

No details as to the nature of the new NWA Chicago territory have been made public, with it unknown what form the promotion will take. The choice of Chicago as a stronghold will come as little surprise, as NWA President Billy Corgan is a Chicago native, and ran independent promotion Resistance Pro in the area in the 2010s.

In late 2023 NWA took over Cleveland, Ohio based Exodus Pro, renaming it NWA: Exodus. The promotion recently made its debut under the CW Network umbrella, with NWA Powerrr streaming on CW’s entertainment platform.

These positive steps will be welcomed by the NWA after a turbulent end to 2023 after the controversy surrounding the Samhain event late in the year. The company also bid farewell to former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille earlier this year.
