The fallout from WWE Clash in Paris continued on Monday Night Raw, with Roman Reigns being officially written off WWE TV during the show. WWE may also be bringing in two new wrestlers in The Righteous, while the company is very happy with Ludwig Kaiser as El Grande Americano.

Today's pro wrestling rumours for Tuesday, September 2, 2025:

According to Bodyslam, WWE are very impressed with Ludwig Kaiser's version of El Grande Americano and some even believe he has been a much better fit for the gimmick than Chad Gable.

That doesn't mean WWE believe Gable was unsuccessful with the persona, only that Kaiser has added more to the El Grande Americano character during his short time under the mask.

Chad Gable debuted as El Grande Americano in March 2025, but he was written off TV in June with a rotator cuff injury. Ludwig Kaiser has wrestled under the mask since then in WWE and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, while Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate have also performed interference on WWE TV as other versions of El Grande Americano.

A new tag team could be set to debut on WWE TV in the near future, with Fightful Select reporting that Vincent and Dutch of The Righteous have told some promoters they are finishing up their independent wrestling bookings in the coming months.

Many believe The Righteous are likely to be signed by WWE, and the company has been interested in the former ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions.

WWE have expressed interest in Vincent and Dutch in the past and they were part of tryouts in December 2022, but WWE was thrown into turmoil soon after when Vince McMahon forced his way back into the company and instituted a hiring freeze while WWE was in the process of being acquired by Endeavor.

Vincent and Dutch landed in AEW/ROH in 2023, but they were granted their releases by the company in April/May 2025.

Reigns was written off WWE programming in a post-match attack from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at Clash in Paris following Reigns' win over Reed.

Roman Reigns was written out of WWE TV as he will be on set in Australia for filming of Street Fighter from September 2 until the week of September 26. Reigns plays Akuma in the movie based on the Capcom franchise.

Karrion Kross Reiterates His WWE Exit Isn't A Work

Speaking with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Killer Kross (FKA Karrion Kross) has reiterated his WWE exit when his and Scarlett's contracts expired on August 10 was not a work.

"There are hundreds of people who have been coming to the table, a lot of them angry because they were hoping it was a work and there would be a payoff. I would never work somebody like that. To me, it's not in good taste. Running an angle where you lose your job and upset people is not something I would do. I understand why people thought it was going to be a work, they were hoping it was going to be a work," Kross said.

Scarlett and Kross noted even their co-workers at WWE thought their departures were a work, with Kross closing by saying: "A lot of the guys didn't know. We were like, 'Let's see what happens. Maybe they'll recover the situation.' We remained somewhat quiet about it."

Kross and Scarlett have since appeared on the independent wrestling scene since their exits from WWE. It is unknown if they have held talks with WWE or AEW since August 10.
