Report: Mauro Ranallo Set To Return On This Week's Broadcast Of NXT

Welcome back...

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that Mauro Ranallo, following his recent absence from WWE, is expected to return to work on this week's episode of NXT on USA Network.

Ranallo missed last week's episode, as well as assigned matches at last Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view. He left the Allstate Arena some time before Survivor Series, reportedly upset over Corey Graves' public criticism of his commentary at the previous night's NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

Ranallo deactivated his social media accounts in the hours after Graves made his remarks.

During the Survivor Series broadcast, Ranallo's absence was explained by him allegedly losing his voice due to his call of TakeOver the night before.

Graves later apologized to Ranallo on his "After the Bell" podcast, saying in part, "This past Saturday, during the ‘Takeover: WarGames’ event, I sent out a tweet. It was an unpopular opinion, as I often do with the intention of just stirring up a little controversy, maybe have something fun to talk about on TV or here on the show.

"It was maybe not the most professional way to go about things, and it was never meant to offend or disrespect or disparage anybody. That was never my intention. If it was taken as such, I apologize deeply.”
