Report: NJPW US TV Deal Expected To Be Announced In Next 10 Days

Not long to wait

New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced during the Wrestle Kingdom 15 intermission that NJPW content would be arriving on TV in the United Kingdom and the United States "soon." Nothing else was revealed at the time, but commentator Kevin Kelly explained further information would be released at some point in the future.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer, New Japan is expected to announce their new US TV deal within the next 10 days. If the UK TV deal will be officially announced at the same time is currently unknown.

Meltzer also noted that AXS TV was interested in bringing NJPW content back to the channel, but New Japan has signed a new US TV deal with a different network.

New Japan's broadcasts in the United States previously aired on AXS TV from 2014 until December 2019. Their partnership was expected to last until January 2021, but both sides agreed to terminate the deal early. NJPW has been without a TV deal in the United States ever since.
