Report: Sami Callihan's IMPACT Wrestling Contract Possibly Expiring Soon

Update on Sami Callihan's IMPACT Wrestling status

One of IMPACT Wrestling's top stars could be set to depart the promotion.

According to Fightful Select, Sami Callihan's IMPACT deal at least at one point was set to expire within the next few months. If he has re-signed with IMPACT is currently unknown, though, and Callihan's deal may well be up in early 2023. The Death Machine was set to become a free agent in early 2021 but he signed a new two-year deal with IMPACT at the time.

Should Callihan decide to leave, he would reportedly have plenty of interest from other promotions. Callihan also runs his own indy promotion, Pro Wrestling REVOLVER.

Callihan made his IMPACT debut back in November 2017. He has been one of the promotion's top stars over the last five years, first as the leader of oVe before the stable disbanded. The 35-year-old is a former IMPACT World Champion, having held the gold for 79 days in 2019 and early 2020 before dropping the belt to Tessa Blanchard.

Callihan is currently a babyface in IMPACT. He is feuding with The Design and recently defeated Angels.
