Report: Sami Callihan Set To Leave IMPACT Wrestling
Sami Callihan could be a free agent by the weekend
IMPACT Wrestling star Sami Callihan is set to leave the company, according to a new report.
PWInsider Elite noted that, according to multiple sources, the 36-year-old will depart the promotion when his current deal expires on September 30. The site added that the two parties are currently at an impasse over a new deal.
It noted that the belief during the last set of IMPACT television tapings (on September 23) is that Callihan is finished (at least for now). Callihan initially signed with IMPACT in 2017. It was said that the split was 'amicable'.
The report further stated that there is already interest in the former IMPACT World Champion from multiple companies, not just as an in-ring talent but for other roles (which PWInsider took to mean producer/agent).
Callihan is not the only IMPACT star set to leave the company, as PCO has also reportedly handed in his notice. On top of that, Deonna Purrazzo's contract is due to expire and she will become a free agent in early 2024.
