Report: Sarray Leaving WWE

Sarray will return to Japan when her WWE contract expires

WWE NXT star Sarray will leave the company when her contract expires, according to a new report.

Tokyo Sports reported on Tuesday that Sarray will be leaving WWE and returning to Japan. Additionally, she will hold a press conference on March 13 to address the resumption of her career in her homeland.

Her return match is already schedule for the May 16 'Sareee-ISM' show at Shinjuku Face. Sareee is the name she used prior to signing with WWE.

Sarray signed with WWE in 2020, though her arrival in the United States was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She eventually debuted on the March 17, 2021 episode of NXT (defeating Zoey Stark).

When NXT became NXT 2.0 in the fall of that year, Sarray was given a new gimmick where a special medallion helped her transform her appearance from a schoolgirl to something more glamorous. In the storyline, it was said that the medallion was given to her by her grandmother.

Sarray's last match was a loss to then-NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose (in a non-title match) on the August 2 episode of NXT. The 26-year-old hasn't been seen on NXT TV since.
