There has reportedly been an "incredible amount" of heat on CM Punk since Sunday when the AEW World Champion first took shots at the AEW EVPs, Colt Cabana, and Hangman Page during his post-All Out press conference before he was involved in a backstage fight with The Elite.

Much is still disputed about what occurred during the backstage altercation in Punk's locker room but what has been confirmed by several outlets is that CM Punk threw punches at The Young Bucks and Ace Steel became involved on Punk's side due to his wife being in the vicinity. The AEW producer bit Kenny Omega and threw a chair at Nick Jackson that left him with a black eye. Both sides were then separated and The Elite eventually left after much shouting and cursing.

Rumours on social media ran wild on Tuesday night which suggested CM Punk and Ace Steel were finished with All Elite Wrestling but nothing has been officially confirmed by the promotion. Fightful Select reported that it was almost unanimous amongst those they spoke to that Punk and Steel will need to make "heavy amends" if they aren't let go by AEW. Several longtime stars also "don't understand how Punk couldn't be let go after this."

While there has been no word on if Punk has been fired, AEW have handed out suspensions as a result of the backstage fight. It is unknown who exactly was suspended, however.
