Report: TNA Asking Talents To Take Pay Cuts
Pay cuts in TNA Wrestling
Dec 17, 2024
TNA Wrestling have reportedly been asking talents with expiring deals to take pay cuts.
The likes of Rhino, Trent Seven, and KUSHIDA all finished up with TNA following the TNA IMPACT tapings in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, December 14. KUSHIDA and Trent Seven had been signed with the promotion since December 2023, while Rhino had been in his third run with TNA since returning to the company in 2019.
Rhino ended his career with TNA as a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and a two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion. He is also a TNA Hall of Famer, having been inducted in 2024.
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that "a lot of the talent was asked to take pay cuts." Who exactly was asked to accept a reduced salary is unknown but Meltzer noted it was one of the reasons why Rhino opted to leave TNA.
While TNA is asking talents to accept pay cuts, the promotion has big plans for 2025 and are planning to run two major arena shows for Rebellion and Slammiversary.
