Report: Update On Chris Jericho's AEW Status

Is The Painmaker Going On Hiatus From All Elite Wrestling...

At Revolution, Chris Jericho lost the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley after a second Paradigm Shift. Soon after, Jericho's band Fozzy announced they would be embarking on a tour of the United States later this year from April to September.

This led to speculation that the former Le Champion was set to go on hiatus, and it even played into an angle on this week's episode of Dynamite, where if Moxley was able to leave the arena under his own power, Jericho would take a 60 day leave of absence.

Ultimately, The Inner Circle beat down Moxley to end the show, meaning Jericho will be sticking around for a little while longer, but many still wondered if Jericho would be off TV from April 16.

Fans don't have to worry, however, as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that The Painmaker will still be featured in AEW while he is on tour. The band is not scheduled to have any concerts on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays which gives Jericho enough time to travel to the arena for Dynamite, and then fly out again the next day to go back on tour.

Meltzer wrote: "Chris Jericho’s band Fozzy is back touring around the U.S. from 4/16 to 5/9. That won’t affect AEW since the band isn’t doing any shows on Tuesdays or Wednesdays so he can fly into the city where Dynamite is taped with and be there all day to get ready."
