Report: Update On Daniel Bryan's WWE Future

What next for The American Dragon?

Daniel Bryan hasn't appeared on any professional wrestling programming since his WWE contract expired on April 30 and The American Dragon's future in the industry remains unclear.

Some clues about Bryan's WWE future have emerged courtesy of Mike Johnson of PWInsider, though.

According to Johnson, WWE has not discussed Bryan returning to the company and he is not listed on the internal roster. Some within WWE believe this means Bryan is going to sign with All Elite Wrestling, but there has been no confirmation this is the case.

WWE also has no plans to release Daniel Bryan merchandise in 2021 and 2022 at this time and the former WWE Champion was also not included on a recent licensing list. Bryan will not be a part of any future Mattel action figure waves either.

Bryan could, of course, still return to WWE at a later date, but there is no movement on that front as of July 20. There is no word on if The American Dragon has had talks with other promotions but there was an expectation following his WWE departure that Ring Of Honor would reach out to Bryan.
