Report: WWE Are In No Hurry To Book CM Punk Vs. Roman Reigns

WWE will wait to book CM Punk versus Roman Reigns

Following a report earlier this week that CM Punk is set to feud with both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in WWE at some point down the line, Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has added some details on the potential plans for the big Punk/Reigns matchup and when to expect it.

Meltzer notes that even though Punk vs. Reigns is the biggest match they can do, and that is certainly the plan, it will take a lot of time to get there, with the feeling being that if they wait, the match will feel even bigger. Meltzer goes on to look at the possibility of perhaps reuniting CM Punk and Paul Heyman, who have a real life connection and an on-screen past in WWE too, “Whether it results in Heyman leaving Reigns for Punk and Punk going heel and Reigns face, which was the speculation we got, there are multiple different ways to approach that. The key is to peak it timing wise, although it’ll probably work big whenever it happens.”

CM Punk of course recently returned to WWE after nearly nine years, making his big comeback at Survivor Series 2023.
