Rey Fenix has been active on X (FKA Twitter) in recent days, making multiple posts that alleged mistreatment from All Elite Wrestling.

Fenix first stated that you don't stay in a place that provided him with "inhumane treatment" before he tweeted earlier this week: "I needed a doctor and you ignored me for months."

Fenix also replied to a report which claimed that AEW adding injury time to his contract was a "huge injustice" and was not related to AEW discovering that the Lucha Bros had been in talks with WWE despite still being under contract with AEW at the time. Other reports have since reiterated that AEW were upset upon discovering that Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo were in negotiations with WWE while signed with AEW.

All Elite Wrestling added one year of injury time to Rey Fenix's deal and he is signed to the promotion until well into 2025.

Addressing Rey Fenix's tweets, WrestleVotes reported on a Backstage Pass Q&A that there was surprise about the posts within WWE.

"Hearing that there were those in the WWE that were surprised yesterday with the Rey Fenix tweets. Not to say that they're not interested anymore, I'm sure that didn't change, but there were some eyebrows raised over those tweets, especially if you’re going to put that out there publicly. I think WWE is going to do some digging into what's going on...That doctor one, my phone started to buzz a little bit afterwards, just the surprise from a few WWE staffers that didn't really have a pulse onto what may or may not be going on over there with Rey Fenix," WrestleVotes said.

Although Rey Fenix is under contract with AEW, Penta El Zero Miedo is now a free agent and he is said to be in "heavy demand."
