Rey Fenix took to social media last week, declaring that “all would be revealed” in due course, but professionalism was the most important thing, first and foremost. He slammed podcasts who speculate and spew out lies, but remained pretty vague when it came to his post. Fenix has taken to social media once again this week, remaining cryptic.

Fenix has been the centre of several news stories regarding his current AEW contract status, with it being believed that he is WWE-bound once his deal ends, leading to him sitting on the side-lines and not being used creatively in any capacity by AEW. His contract is set to reportedly run well into 2025, with injury time added to his deal.

In a series of posts on X, Fenix first stated the following in a reply to a post slamming AEW for not using him:

“I will have my chance to speak the truth”.

He followed this up with another cryptic and vague statement:

“No one stays in a place where they received inhumane treatment.”

It isn’t known what Fenix is specifically referring to, and Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful noted that he’d personally heard nothing in regards to Fenix receiving ‘inhumane treatment’ in AEW. Fenix’s brother, Penta El Zero Miedo, recently became a free agent, officially leaving AEW.
